Outstanding Programs

The Naval Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps (NJROTC), named the Most Improved program in the Nation in 1998-1999, continues to win regional and national competitions.

Our Odyssey of the Mind Program sent teams to the World Finals three of the last four years.

We have twice the state average number of students enrolled in Advanced Placement classes, and our AP exam scores are above the national mean score yearly.

Our Athletic Department fields nine varsity interscholastic sports for both men and women.  Each year, several of our student athletes are awarded all-state honors.

One of the most honored programs in the State of Arkansas, the MHHS Bomber Marching Band has won over 1,000 awards the last 20 years.

The FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) Program won the prestigious ChairmanÆs Award in the 2000 National Tournament.

Our district annually hosts the regional Lego League robotics competition for elementary and middle school students.

MHHS students may earn concurrent credit at Arkansas State University-Mountain Home in several courses.
